Schema markup checker
See the schema.org structured data (JSON-LD) on any page: which types it describes, whether it parses, and which properties Google needs for rich results.
What schema markup does
Schema markup is a small block of JSON in a page’s HTML that states facts in a form machines can’t misread: this is a business, here is its address and phone number; this is a product, it costs this much and is in stock; this page answers these questions.
Google uses it for rich results (stars, prices, FAQs, breadcrumbs, event dates) and AI assistants use it to understand and cite a site correctly. A block with a single syntax error is ignored completely, which is why it’s worth checking after every edit.
A minimal example for a business
Put this in the page’s <head>, with your own details:
<script type="application/ld+json">
{
"@context": "https://schema.org",
"@type": "LocalBusiness",
"name": "Your Business",
"url": "https://example.com/",
"logo": "https://example.com/logo.png",
"telephone": "+1 555 0100",
"address": {
"@type": "PostalAddress",
"streetAddress": "1 Main Street",
"addressLocality": "Springfield",
"postalCode": "12345",
"addressCountry": "US"
}
}
</script>
On WordPress, SEO plugins such as Yoast and Rank Math add most of this for you once the business details are filled in under their settings.
