Terms of service
Last updated October 6, 2026. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
The short version
Mend My Sites checks websites and helps you report on them, fix them and win work from them. Use it for sites you look after or want to help, keep your account safe, and don’t use it to harm anyone. We keep the service running as well as we can, but we can’t promise rankings, traffic or uninterrupted service.
These terms apply to everyone who creates an account or uses the website, including the free tools. By signing up or using Mend My Sites you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what we store and why.
Your account
Give your real name and an email address you can receive mail at. You are responsible for what happens in your account: keep your password private, and switch on two-factor sign-in if you can.
A workspace (team) belongs to its owner. The owner decides who is invited and with which role, and is responsible for what members do in it.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and if you sign up for a business you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
The founding beta
During the founding beta everything is free until December 29, 2026. We don’t ask for a card.
Before the beta ends we will email you at least two weeks ahead with the plans and prices. Founding members keep the discount promised on the founding page for as long as they stay subscribed. If you don’t choose a paid plan, your account moves to the free plan; nothing is deleted.
Paid plans
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment provider, which also handles sales tax and receipts. Prices are shown before you pay.
You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We don’t refund partial periods unless the law requires it. If we change a price, we tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.
Plan limits (audits per month, monitored sites, leads and the like) are part of the plan. Fair-use limits also protect the service for everyone, for example how many audits can run at once.
Using it fairly
Audit sites you own, look after, or are legitimately interested in, such as a business you plan to contact. An audit only reads what a site shows the public, and we identify our crawler honestly. Don’t use Mend My Sites to overload, attack or probe sites for weaknesses.
Don’t try to get around limits, share one paid account among unrelated businesses, resell raw access, scrape the service, or break or test its security without our written permission.
Don’t use Mend My Sites to send spam. If you contact prospects with something you made here, follow the anti-spam and privacy laws that apply to you and to them.
We may limit, suspend or close accounts and block visitors that break these rules or put the service or other people at risk. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
Your content and your clients
Your sites, reports, branding, proposals and notes stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Mend My Sites for you: for example to show reports, send the emails you set up and keep backups.
When you collect details through Mend My Sites (the lead widget, client emails for progress reports) you are responsible for having the right to do so and for telling those people how you use their details. We handle that data for you and for nothing else.
Shared report links, proposals and white-label pages show your branding. You are responsible for what you write on them and for who you send them to.
Audits, scores and advice
Reports describe what we found when we checked. Websites change, third-party services (such as Google PageSpeed Insights) can be slow or wrong, and some checks can’t run on every site.
Fix plans, prices, call briefs, outreach drafts and other suggestions are guidance, not guarantees. Check them before you rely on them or pass them on. No tool can promise search rankings, AI visibility, traffic or sales.
The service
We work to keep Mend My Sites available, secure and backed up, but it is provided “as is”: there may be downtime, mistakes or changes. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you pay for, we’ll tell you in advance and adjust or refund the unused part.
The software, design and content of Mend My Sites (apart from your content) belong to us. You may use them only through the service.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue, data or clients, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time under Settings. We may end the service for you under the rules above, or with 30 days’ notice for any other reason, in which case we refund any prepaid unused time.
After an account is closed we delete its data as the privacy policy describes. Shared links and proposals stop working.
Changes and the law
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you by email or in the app before the change applies. Using Mend My Sites afterwards means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights the law of your own country gives you.
